What is ILTACON?

ILTACON is a multi-day conference with comprehensive peer-driven programs, educational content, and face-to-face networking. Industry experts and the legal community collaborate to discover and evolve successful legal operation strategies for today’s transforming legal industry.


Who should attend ILTACON?

Leaders, managers, decision-making legal technologists, and professionals new to legal from small to large law firms, corporate and government law departments, academia, and the G100 firms.


When is ILTACON 2022?

ILTACON 2022 will take place August 21 - 25, 2022 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.


What are future ILTACON dates and locations.

Will ILTACON 2022 be held in person?

Yes! ILTACON 2022 will be held in-person at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, USA.

Will there be a digital portion?

There are no plans to offer a digital registration at this time.

Will the content be relevant to a global audience?

Educational content will be relevant for a global audience, and most sessions will be recorded for registrant access post-event.

How many Educational Tracks will there be?

In-person attendees will be able to choose from 5 concurrent sessions. Digital attendees will be able to participate in selected live-streamed sessions.

How do I book a room in the ILTACON block at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center?

Attendees will receive hotel booking instructions in the registration confirmation. Business Partners will receive hotel booking instructions from the ILTA Business Partner Team in early May.

What if I need to cancel my hotel reservation.

You may login to the Passkey portal to cancel your reservation prior to 27 July. After 27 July, you would need to contact the Gaylord National directly at 1-877-491-0468 to cancel your reservation. Reservations cancelled more than 72 hours prior to arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Reservations cancelled less than 72 hours prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit.

I paid my deposit for my hotel reservation, but I haven't received a receipt. Is there a number I can call?

I received a call from NCA about booking a hotel room for ILTACON. Are they an official partner?

No - ILTA is not working with any housing bureau or company for ILTACON reservations.

When do registration rates for ILTACON increase?

ILTACON registration rates increased July 1, 2022.

How do I register and pay for a group from my organization?

The process to pay for registrants from your organization on a single invoice has changed from recent years.

1. Please have each person register for the appropriate registration type. (Please note they must be logged in to the ILTA Website). They will need to agree to the Event Anti-Harassment Policy and COVID-19 liability waiver and proceed through. Once they get the payment step please select the “Pay Later” option.

2. Each registrant will be assigned a Registration submission number (REG-XXXXX). Once all registrants have completed the Registration Request and been assigned an ID number, email iltacon@iltanet.org with the names, registration types, and registration ID numbers for everyone you would like on the group invoice. We will confirm the submissions match, and we will issue an invoice. Upon receipt of payment, registrations will be processed and email confirmations will be issued. Timely and accurate submissions are very important. Any delays or inaccuracies could result in higher fees. It is important to note that no registrations will be processed or confirmed until the registration questions have been completed and payment is received.

All registrations must be complete by 12 August 2022.

I registered and selected the Pay Later option. How do I log back in and apply payment?

1. Log into the ILTA website
2. Go to your profile setting
3. Click on Pay Open Company Orders
4. Scroll until you see ILTACON 2022 Annual Education Conference
5. Click View on the order
6. Click on Complete Your Payment and enter payment details

What is a superpass?

A superpass is a discount available to ILTA member entities. For every 6 ILTACON registrations purchased at the full-week price, member firms may send a 7th person at no charge. Firms may purchase more than one superpass, so for if a firm purchases 12 full-week member registrations, they will receive two additional registrations at no charge.

How do I register for a SuperPass?

If you are interested in obtaining a super pass, please contact events@iltanet.org.  We will forward you an invoice.  Once payment has been received, instructions will be forwarded to you on how each registrant will need to self-register. 
NOTE: Attendees will not be registered until payment has been received and each attendee has agreed to the terms and conditions at self registration

I'm a participant from outside of North America; is there anything I should know?

If you are an ILTACON participant from outside of North America, please contact our Events Team (events@iltanet.org) to talk about your registration, including your proof of vaccination.

May I pay the registration fee in a currency other than US Dollars?

All payments to ILTA must be made in US Dollars.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Cancellations are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, please contact events@iltanet.org. Registration transfers to another person in your organization may be completed with no penalty in most circumstances. Please contact events@iltanet.org if you would like to transfer your registration.

I need an accommodation to fully participate in ILTACON

During the registration process, you will be able to request a dietary, physical, or other accomodation to fully participate in ILTACON. Please contact our Events Team at events@iltanet.org for additional accommodation information.

English is not my first or primary language - will you offer foreign language translation?

We will not be offering foreign language translation at ILTACON

What types of COVID protocols will be put into place?

In addition to requiring all participants to be fully vaccinated no later than 15 July, 2022, we will observe local and state laws as they relate to event size, masking, and other public health mandates.

Will you require participants to be vaccinated?

Yes. All participants will be required to be fully vaccinated no later than 15 July, 2022. ILTA accepts all vaccinations that the World Health Organization (WHO) has determined meet the necessary criteria for safety and efficacy. Boosters are not required to participate in ILTACON. Will you require proof of vaccination?

Yes, we will require proof of vaccination for anyone attending ILTACON. Boosters are not required.

I'm unable to be vaccinated; may I submit a negative COVID test prior to arrival?

No. There are no exceptions to the requirement to be fully vaccinated to participate in ILTACON. Although we understand there are some circumstances that prohibit people from being fully vaccinated, it is mandatory that all attendees for ILTACON in 2022 be vaccinated.

There were many factors in the decision making process to determine what measures we at ILTA needed to take to ensure the safety of our attendees. After much discussion, research, conversations with others hosting large scale events, etc. the ILTA Senior Leader Team along with the ILTA Board of Directors determined the mandatory protocols that would be put into place as well as the protocols that would change based on the ‘state of health’ of Maryland, other US States, Canada and other countries. Mandatory vaccinations and proof of vaccinations fall within the mandatory protocols for attending ILTACON.

How do I submit my proof of full vaccination status to attend ILTACON in person?

Digital images of proof of vaccination should be submitted by clicking here before 15 July 2022. You will need your registration number to submit the image. The registration number (REG-xxxxxxx) can be found on your confirmation email and on your ILTACON event registration page.
If you do not feel comfortable uploading your digital proof of vaccination, you may check the box ""I will bring my proof of vaccination to ILTACON.""

Will digital vaccination cards be accepted (i.e. one that is stored in your Apple wallet)?

Yes, you may bring that with you when you check-in on site. Be sure to have your full vaccination status complete by July 15 by checking the box indicating you will bring your proof of vaccination status with you.

What type of capacity limits can I expect?

ILTACON is not limiting attendance for registrants. All members and non-members are welcome to attend, and there is no capacity limit at this time. Anyone participating in ILTACON will be required to be fully vaccinated and have an ILTACON badge. This includes demo room area, exhibit hall, and sessions.

May I participate in ILTACON activities at the ILTA365 level?

No, Silver and above have benefits associated with ILTACON.

How many staff can we send?

ILTACON Sponsors will have the following badge allotments: Silver (4); Gold (6); Platinum (8); ILTAMAX (12). Badges will not be transferable. Additional badges are available for purchase.

Are there limits to my exhibit space?

ILTA follows the IAEE Guidelines for Display Rules & Regulations. 10x10 Linear Booths - The maximum height of 8 ft. (2.44 m) is allowed only in the rear half of the booth space with a 4 ft. (1.22 m) height restriction imposed on all materials in the remaining space forward to the aisle. All guidelines for Linear Booths apply to 10x20 Booths, except that the center extended header has a maximum height of 8ft (2.44m), a maximum width of 20 percent of the length of the booth, and a maximum depth of 9ft (2.7m) from the back wall. Island booths 20'x20'x or larger have a maximum height of 20 ft.

How many hotel rooms do I receive by my sponsor level?

Room allocation is based upon sponsorship level: Silver may book up to 4 rooms, Gold may book up to 6 rooms, Platinum may book up to 8 rooms, and ILTACON max book up to 12 rooms. ILTA will run periodic rooming audits to ensure room reservations are in line with sponsorship allocations.

If I purchase additional badges above my allocation, may I book additional rooms above my allocation?

Yes, you may use the same link to book additional rooms.

How much are hotel rooms, and how do I book a room?

Rooms at the Gaylord National are $244 per night plus taxes (currently 18%) and resort fee ($22/night) for single/double occupancy. Attendee registrants will receive room reservation links in their registration confirmation email. Sponsoring Business Partners will receive housing information when the block opens on 10 May 2022
One night's room and deposit is due at the time of booking. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night's room and tax.

What if I need to book rooms using a corporate card the travelers will not possess at check-in?

Please contact the Gaylord National reservations team at 1-877-491-0468 to discuss alternate payment arrangements.

I received a call/email from a third party about booking a hotel room for ILTACON. Are they an official partner?

No! ILTA is not working with a third-party for the ILTACON room block. We encourage participants to book through the official link provided. No one other than ILTA or the Gaylord National will contact you regarding a room reservation.

What are the Exhibit Hall hours?

Monday: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Tuesday: 7:30 am – 6:30 pm
Wednesday: 7:30 am – 6:30 pm
Thursday: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm

When is Exhibit Booth Setup?

Sunday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Monday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

How are we implementing pictures on the badges?

All participants will be able to load a selfie in the platform/app while setting up their profiles. If in-person participants haven't loaded a selfie by the time they check-in, they'll be able to snap a selfie at the registration desk.

What is included in my exhibit booth space?

The exhibit booth is bare space and uncarpeted. There will be pipe/drape, but exhibitors will need to bring or order booth furnishings thorugh the GES Service Kit and/or the Gaylord National Online Ordering portal.

I received a call/email from a third party about exhibit booths or services for ILTACON 2022. Are they an official partner?

No! GES is the official General Services Contractor for ILTACON 2022. The GES Service Kit (estimated deliver June 2) will contain information on ordering carpet, tables, chairs, internet, power, etc for your booth. Some exhibitors do choose to contract with a third party to build their complex booths; this will be covered under the Exhibitor Appointed Services policy in the GES Exhibitor Services Kit.

How do I order Exhibit Hall Services?

You will receive a link the exhibitor service kit from GES Exposition Services, the official service contractor, with information on ordering equipment, internet, cleaning services and more. Their phone number is 800.475.2098. (702) 515-5970 (Monday through Friday; 6:00AM to 2:30PM Pacific Time). The Service Kit link will be found here on/around 31st May.

How do I order other services?

The Gaylord National Exhibitor Services team will handle your orders for internet, cleaning services, and other items. You may order A/V needs through either Gaylord National's A/V Team (Encore) or through SmartSource.

May I host a bar in my booth or hand out food?

All food and beverage must be provided by the Gaylord National; no outside food or beverage may be brought into the property. We encourage partners in the exhibit hall to order food and beverage services through the Gaylord National catering team. Additional information may be found in the Gaylord National portal located in the Exhibitor Dashboard.

When can I access my demo room?

Demo room access will begin at noon on Sunday 21 August.

When will demo rooms be open?

Monday – Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

What is included in my demo room?

The demo room is empty space that you can customize to your specific demo room needs. Furniture for your Demo Room can be ordered through GES. You may also work with your Gaylord National assigned representative if you have other needs for your demo room such as catering, A/V, or WiFi.

I received an email saying I could purchase an attendee list for ILTACON. Is that legitimate?

No! ILTA does not provide registration information to a third-party.

How can I advertise my presence at ILTACON?

We have a webpage filled with resources such as event logos, social media promos, image files, banners, etc.

Are there limits to what I can give away at ILTACON?

Any items used as traffic builders, lead generators, bingo prizes or other giveaways must have a value less than $500 USD. Any food or beverage (including alcohol) given away in booths, demo rooms, hospitality suites, or other areas in ILTA's footprint must be secured through the Gaylord National.
