Corporate Legal Day 2025 isn’t another lineup of panels—it’s a fully interactive experience designed to challenge assumptions, spark ideas, and equip you with practical tools for change. The morning is all about opening minds: imagining what’s possible, exploring bold ideas, and rethinking how technology could better support your legal department. Over lunch, we flip the script—swapping roles with law firm innovation leaders in a collaborative empathy exercise. Then in the afternoon, we get down to business: working through the real challenges of building a business case that considers ROI, change management, and what it takes to turn a good idea into reality. This isn’t a day to passively listen—it’s a day to actively rethink, reimagine, and plan what’s next.

The Corporate Legal Track is free to attend (for CORPORATE LEGAL DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES), and additional Day Passes are available for purchase if you'd like to attend ILTACON all week.

  • In-house leaders talking through their own tech stacks
  • Full room white-board brainstorm to list potential tech solution
  • Small industry groups build out ideal tech stacks
  • Strategies and tips for building a roadmap
  • Ways to leverage leverage law firms rather than building
 
1:00 - 2:30 PM Interactive Lunch with CINOs 'Whacky Wednesday / Sit a Day in My Shoes'

Swap roles with law firm innovation leaders to gain fresh perspective—and deeper empathy—by completing the prompt: “I were aLaw Firm CINO, I’d ________.” Leave with a better understanding of how to work with CINOs at your firms.
 
2:30 - 4:00 PM Joint Innovation Workshop / Build a Business Plan for 4 Major Problems You Encounter

While the morning session was about imagining what’s possible, in the afternoon we shift to what it takes to make those ideas real. This hands-on activity helps in-house professionals tackle a real-world problem and build the business case—complete with ROI—for getting it done. At this workshop, we split into groups to develop the business plan (problem statement, proposed solution, ROI, cost, risk, and adoption) to solve each of the following problems:

  • We need to reduce our litigation costs
  • We need to bring more work in-house
  • We need to get more from our law firms
  • We have to react to an overall corporate initiative to use AI
