Taking Ideas and Running with Them

Did you ever wonder how the ILTACON session grid comes together or where all those great webinars, articles and local events throughout the year come from? It starts with YOU, the ILTA member. You write an intriguing blog post, ask a question on the discussion groups or post an idea to the IDEA Database. The next step involves YOU, too, if you’re one of the many ILTA volunteers who work to make sure good ideas don’t get lost. There are various volunteer opportunities across all the interests of ILTA members for reviewing ideas with the intention of turning them into something bigger. If you wrote the blog, we might ask you to speak on a webinar. If you asked the question, we might ask you some follow-up questions to uncover a trend or shared pain point that could become a conference session. It’s all because ILTA members are always sharing what they’ve learned and trying to learn more that we have such tremendous content throughout the year. So if you’ve ever contributed to the connected communities, you’ve contributed in more ways than you know. Thank you. And if you think the next phases in developing content sound interesting, check out the volunteer page and raise your hand if something looks fun and interesting to you.
